It's funny how many folks are complaining about the thing. Around here once it hits the market it's gonna be a huge seller here. We see A LOT of vehicles from Mexico here and two of the most seen SUVS here are the VW Crossfox (only sold in the Latin American market) and the Nissan X-Trail (only sold in Mexico). The Panda will be moving into a market especially here where folks need some slight 4x4 capability but not a gas guzzler and this fits the bill.

I don't know how it is in other folks towns and cities, but here in El Paso our roads aren't too bad however you cross over the border and that changes quite a bit and when we do have rain storm roads there are not always accessible in two wheel drive so this vehicle can have a huge potential and I think it will once it comes out.

Personally if the price is right I'd consider owning one. The gas mileage is the biggest reason to own it and having some 4x4 capability would be a great highlight for those times where bad weather hits. Bottom line it's a vehicle that makes sense.

WOW ,,, that thing is FUGLY ... I'm shocked some of you guys would drive that.

My hope is that Fiat upgrades the JK's engine, reliability and fuel economy and leaves everything else as is ...

Wow.
My 1949 Ford 8N tractor has 24 HP. It has evil 6.66 gears though and will pull a house down. You'd be surprised what a small amount of HP will do in a light vehicle geared correctly.
