Replace JKU with F150?

Wow those engineers at Ford have thought of everything. Now you can hydrolock your F150 in a 6" puddle. If I get a F250 Diesel super duty I'm going to have to look where they routed the intake. If its low I'm going to have to relocate it higher or even get a snorkel for it.

^^^ Saw ford in hear had to respond. Your looking at 6.0's they ended in 07 then started 6.4 08-10. The air intake sits up top like any normal vehicle. Noticed they sit on the bottom bumper of the newer explorers as well. Design flaw for sure. Go to powerstroke forums to educate yourself our feel free to shoot me a PM I'm always down to talk diesels.

You think the 6.0 is a good engine? I found one with 69K on a 2007 crew cab. It's posted for 25K is that a good price? It also has some chrome stuff added like wheels bull bar and side steps. Looks to me like someone used it to haul a toy or camper and that was its main use.

I think the 6.0 is a fine engine with the correct bulletproofing. Internally I was surprised to see how much the components can handle. Up to 800hp while the new 6.7 is around 700hp. I have 190k on my built 2004 6.0. These engines don't like a 150-200 tune until you head stud them. Too much cylinder pressure. Other things to address would be the egr cooler and oil cooler. Jeeps are cheap compared to building a diesel truck be prepared.Send me a PM with your number. We can exchange texts I hate to take up a jeep forum on this topic.
