Default Remote Start Issues

Ok. Just got my 2012 JK a week ago. And the remote start only runs for approx 5 seconds. I am aware of how the remote start works as I had another jeep it was on. Is this something the dealer had done or do I need to go have it serviced? And ideas??? Ughhhh

I have remote start also!! If you are below a certain point of fuel it will shut off after a few seconds! That might be your problem or at least a start on where the problem might be eminating from! Take it back to dealer and say "FIX IT NOW" lol

The dealer kept my Jeep an extra day trying to figure out why it wouldn't work. Turns out it was too low on fuel. This is of course after I closed the deal on the Jeep and included a Mopar remote start. When I picked it up, it turns out they installed some aftermarket crap. Best part was that when you activated the remote start on the aftermarket unit, the Jeep would stay running for 10 minutes. Nothing would shut it off!!! I had them replace the aftermarket one with the Mopar remote start and it works correctly now.

Hahaha it states right in the handbook that the remote start will not stay on if you are low on fuel! The sales rep should've also told you that at POS!

Best part is, if a door isn't closed all the way it will not start.... but it will start with the doors removed.

Go figure

That's because the doors get unplugged therefore the circuit is no longer live!
