Yup, they shipped a batch in December, just in time for the 1st snow. They fit pretty well, I am not sure if they are backordered again. If you follow the "new" directions, and use the bolts they provide for the filler plates, and the factory bolts for the mounts, it works fine. The passengers side mirror is halfway blocked, fixed with a round Wal-mart stick on mirror.

OK, sorry to dig up a new thread, but I am almost done with my passenger side mirror mod. I used the same method as I posted before to fill up the door hole. This one is really cheap and easy. The only thing is that the mirror does shake a bit at highway speeds. (I will take a video tomorrow). I will also upload pictures later, when the paint dries.
1a) Go get a 6" X 8" shelf bracket from your favorite hardware store.
1b) also get black (my preferred color to match fenders) spray paint.
2) Go get the mirror. I got mine from a local truck store. I think it was less than $5 (bought over a year ago). It is a "VELVAC convex HD 5" BLK center stud with Brkt" model 708521.
3) Get 3 self-tapping screws, (I used 5/16") and corresponding drill bit. (Yes, drill is needed too)
4) Drill out hole on end of 8" side to stud size on mirror.
5) MOUNT MIRROR!!! (lol)
6) Place screws trough the holes on the 6" side of the bracket.
7) Cover mirror with plastic bag and paint.
8) Have beer waiting for paint to dry. (OPTIONAL) (May substitute other alcoholic beverage)
9) Have friend (or tape) hold mirror in place on fender while sitting in seat to check for good visibility.
10) Once visibility is verified, drill screws through fender. (USE A LIGHT TOUCH AS TO NOT STRIP HOLES IN FENDER)
11) Use my philosophy and "Have fun."
Pic 1 -- Mirror covered with bag, attached to shelf bracket, and un-painted.
Pic 2 -- Mirror covered with bag, attached to shelf bracket, and painted.
Pic 3 -- Mirror mounted, picture from outside.
Pic 4 -- Mirror mounted, picture from inside, seated.

how are TJ mirros held to the 'neck' of the mirror kit?
i have a set of rugged ridge mirror brackets bought only for the hole cover ups and possibles frankensteining a passenger side mirror. i was wondering if we could take a TJ mirror and add the neck onto the rugged ridge bracket?
id like to know what size bolt, if any, holds the mirror to the neck on the TJ... before i purchase one on ebay.
