Here is what I have been working on this afternoon. Total cost about $27.00. The mirrors I picked up at Advanced Auto for $10 each. From Home Depot: two “T” brackets, a can of Rust-oleum and some rubber backing material to protect the paint.

I like the way there recessed, so there not sticking out any further than the flares. It almost looks like it should be stock. This is just a test fit. They have to be disassembled to paint the brackets.

Nice, was the mirror already black? Does the mirror vibrate?

Thanks all

The mirrors came black. There also available in chrome if you want the bling. There made by a company called K Source. Part number RH083B. The view from the passenger side isn't the best. But, it's better than nothing. You can see enough to safely change lanes. I thought it was better to keep them uniform. If nothing else it will keep the law off your @$#.

I designed these for running with the doors off only. They get removed when the doors are replaced. Only two extra screws on each side, quick and easy.

Not to hijack but, I see you are in Charlottesville. Sunday the 22nd a few friends and I are going wheeling in George Washington NF. Want to join in?

I didn't drill the holes to mount them. The mirrors are bolted using the upper bolts for the windshield brace. And yes I use the same screws to hold the mirrors on.
