regret the unlimited?

not a chance, i love that thing more than any jeep i've owned. The larger wheelbase is great it the crappy ohio weather too. Last week we had 2 feet of snow fall in 24 hrs, i was the only vehicle on the road that didn't slide. and today, when the snow started up again and some guy in front of me on the freeway spun out when merging into my lane, it was the longer wheelbase that allowed me to manuver around him without losing control, granted i have a rubi with those nice BFGs that grab amazingly well for mudders in the snow, but i was in 2 wheel drive when the guy spun out and i managed to make some pretty abrupt manuvers without even fishtailing and while i didn't notice if me esp kicked on or not (too busy avoiding hitting the car to look at that dash) i know darn well the short wheelbase on my TJ woulda never held up to that. I know the 2 dr JK is still a better stance and longer wheelbase than the TJ, but none the less, my point is, i friggen love the 5 seats, the cargo room, the extra weight, extra length, extra doors, everything. I'm definately one satisfied customer.

regret the unlimited?
I was really torn between the two and looked and drove them several times.
Then my grand daughter, 2 1/2 years old. saw the rear seat folded down with only the 40 split up and said "Mine!!!".
Sold!!!
For running around town picking up chain from Tractor Supply to taking everyone to lunch and getting them in and out easily.... This is it!
The ride, space, and the complements on the look of my Jeep just re-enforce the great idea of the 4 door.
Off road, I go anywhere I want. Yes, sometimes with a 3 point turn, but I had to do that with my CJ due to the lift and lose of turning radius.
No regrets on the 4 door.

We wouldn't have bought the JK if it weren't for the 4-door Unlimited.
I remember when the 'extended' 05/06 Unlimited came out-- thought that was a step in the right direction but it still wasn't practical for my use (there is an adult-size back seat passenger in my vehicle greater than 50% of the time).
As for regretting it? Much too early to say. I'm still in the new-vehicle honeymoon. Ask me this again when I've had 10-12 car payments and the JK has 15k+ miles on it. If I'm still taking it to the car wash every 500 miles, that's a good sign!
