Default Is this rear axle a dana 44? Correct me if i'm wrong please (:

I was looking under my Jeep jk x 2007 2 door and I was curious what axle is this. Thanks

looks right. I think the 35's are more oval and the 44's are somewhat tear-drop shaped.

Very strong. The reason you want the Dana 44 over the d30 is because of the larger pinion. Everything else is the same.

I thought all JK's had a rear Dana 44. Could be wrong though

First year, first run had some D35 rears.. It was changed very quickly after the JK was released.

Does anybody actually know why they put 35s in some of the 07s? Just curious.
