Quick question about reusing isolators
I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but you don't know unless you ask..right?
I am installing my 2" lift tonight from Superlift, and I was wondering whether or not to reuse the front factory isolators to help with the rake. I saw where some people on the site have done it with success, but I called Superlift and they said it would provide "too much" lift in the front if I kept them. Any opinions from people who have done this. Right now all I have is the factory bumper.
I saw the tutorial on the 2.5" Teraflex install and WOL reused both isolators.....any explanation on this?
TIA!!!!

I reused all of mine on my TF 2.5... they are only like 1/4 a inch, thats not major. I don't know about superlift, but maybe their front end springs push up alot more than TFs do in comparison to the rears.

Well, the superlift spacers are about 2.75" and 3" (front and rear). The kit is only supposed to be a 2", so seems like they might have compensated for not using the factory isolators. But, I've seen a few people with the same lift say they kept the front isolator to help the rake...that's what I'm curious about...
thanks for the reply though

In stock form I can see how they recommend not reusing them, if you were running a real front bumper and winch i'd reuse them. On my TF kit I ditched the stocker, used their 2.5" TF coil spacers and added 1" TF spacers for rake adjustment to compensate for the winch/Shrocks stubby winch bumper. The rake is perfect.
