Questions before ordering my JK sahara
first of all is it possible to have a lift kit put on by the dealer or factory , plus I want a set of 35's BFG A/T on it. can I have it all set up by the dealer as to not void the warranty? or can I do this myself after I get the JK with out affecting the warranty

I ordered my 08 about a month ago, still waiting. But the dealership by me had a few JK's with aftermarket equip. on them, lifts, wheels, steps etc. The pricing for them to do it was much higher than if you were to do them yourself. I believe that as long as you do not touch the drive train or mod the engine, you're fine on the warranty.

Yes many of the dealerships are offering that as an option but a very expensive option. The dealership I purchased from quoted me a price for a 4" Skyjacker suspension lift with 35" Procomp tires and rims, the price was roughly $4300.... The lift would be covered under the factory warranty so that would be a mitigating factor in favor of letting the dealer do it. You can get much better pricing by going aftermarket; same package as above priced at $2800 but with the issue of the factory warranty being voided.... Good luck in your decision....

When we bought our Sahara they had one on the lot with just a small 3" lift with 35's. It was that dark green color.. the jeep looked really really good. I didnt get it first of all cuz it was a 2 door (drove home with a 4 door) and they wanted like $5,000 for the aftermarket components.
Personally I'm just gonna do it all myself piece by piece as I can afford it. I figure theyll find some way to not cover it under warranty if something major happens anyways stock or not. Every dealer handles aftermarket components differently. I know with my GMC truck (6" lift) they still covered everything except just the aftermarket components..
Funny Story:
The dealer did tell me a story of a guy they sold a jeep to.. about two weeks later he came back and showed the salesperson some offroad pics of it lifted with big tires etc... About 2 months later... the jeep came into the dealership on the back of a tow truck.. super scratched up but back to stock components and with a broken axle. The salesman noticed.. but they still covered it under warranty and fixed it for free... Not that Im condoning you to do that... but some people wouldnt have a problem doing it I guess.
