Default questions about ordering a JK from DC

I'm new here, this is my first post after lurking around for a few weeks.
I am looking to order a jk in oct/nov. Will it be too late to get a 07 or will I have to wait for the 08's? I see DC usually offers a rebate at the end of the year, are you eligible for the rebate even if your order one custom for DC? Is there a set down payment to order one or is it up to the dealership. I'm looking at going through steve white in NC, has anyone have any feedback on them in their purchase and being out of state?

Thanks in advance

Deposit is a dealer thing. All depends on them.

Build-Out (industry term for last chance to order a model year) usually happens in June. I have seen a few vehicles go into July. In August the dealer is usually only plaing some pre-order stuff for certain models. By September the ordering system is usually open for next model year.

talking from just an economics standpoint, i would say that since there is such a huge demand for the current JKs, the price could rise to meet the equilibrium price

meaning, the more people that want it, the more things usually cost, dealers have been upping the price some places i know...

but i dont know if there are any real plans to up the price or not across DC, someone more in the know would hafta say
