Got my Mopar tire carrier from Quadratec. Found another place selling it with shipping costs be a combined to be over $150 less. Q-tec honored the price match. Got it for a lower price from a company I know and trust.

I completely understand all of your opinions and comments but seriously everyone, this is just wrong.
I don't understand the issue... if you don't like it then buy from someone else. They can charge what ever they want for freight, it's their damn company after all. Problem solved. Next!

Here’s one for ya, I was looking at some LED lights on Amazen to use as rock lights. I found some that were cheap compared to the rest, I think they were listed at $1.97 per BUT the shipping was $39.50.
I guess that you can sell something for $2 then charge $40 , collect the money...go to UPS and ship it for $10 and end up with $32 in your pocket. ...very sneaky.

Nathanmares please don't address me like I'm an idiot., I know exactly what things cost and if you read my last post you would see that part of my issue is they base shipping on the cost of the item not the weight.

I respect your opinion but I do not appreciate being spoken to like a moron. I know cost to run a business is expensive, but don't you see a problem when one site is charging $11 to ship a package (or free shipping) and Quadratec is charging $50 for the same item. I understand distance is a huge factor but I had 4 wheel spacers shipped from Cali to CT(very heavy and far) for free and Quadratec charged me $48 to shipp to tail lights from PA to CT (much lighter and closer).

if your not going to read the entire thread and reply appropriatly please dont bother. For those who are telling me to shop else where, if you read you would see that already has been addressed. I understand I can go else where but that does not remedy the problem at hand, which is Quadratec is ripping people off on shipping.

By telling me to go else where and thinking that settles the issue your simply telling me to turn my head and not address an issue. If it was just a small difference or something minor than you would be right, but on many occasions they are really trying to rip people off! I mean how can you jusify trying to charge $39 for shipping on a $2 item. If you discovered a restaurant was knowingly serving their customers rotten meat do you think they should be reported to the health department or should you just stop eating there and not say anything.

I do agree that thier shipping calculation is BUNK.
BUT, then again....I just call them and aks for free shipping and get it. So it's just a minor inconvience I can live with. Maybe all those non-forum members that order are paying for our shipping and we should be giving those guys a hug

Heh... with all the problems in the world you're picking this as your "go-to cause"? I'd suggest a leaflet campaign followed by some aggressive picketing.

Explain $40 in shipping for a $19 licence plate bracket please.

Which, unsurprisingly, is backordered.

Quadratec is the USCAV of the automotive industry. If something is out of stock, tell me on your page before I commit to buy. If you don't have it in stock, I'll buy its somewhere else so I can have it when I need it.

I've been waiting 9 MONTHS for a SEAT COVER.

Cancel your order and get it elsewhere, that's what I did when I ordered my bumpstops
