ill give my 2 cents worth
i shoped for used before thier over priced and some dealers and private sales ask more than book value or even more than a new one lol after looking at a bunch of doctored up shit pails i decided to buy a new sport in 2011 rather than deal with some ones abused and over priced junk i then traded up to a 2012 new rubicon and thats where im at and even new they have issues lol if i were in the market for used id save and buy new these things are beat to shit just watch videos i wouldnt want one after this treatment and how would you know where it went they clean them up paint whats rusted and you come walkin in oh what a nice looking jeep

or maybe you dont mind this type of used vehicle i certainly wouldnt buy one used like this and he more than likely will clean it up and sell it for good money

If you can afford it, get the 2012+ so you'll have the newer 3.6L engine & more horsepower.
FWIW I traded my 08 in last year at 98,500 miles & the service techs said (during my 5-year inspection) that it was one of the nicest running motors they've seen in a JK lately. Only issue was a slightly leaking water pump which was covered under warranty. So some of us jeep owners actually take pretty good care of our rigs with routine maintenance. Sure the bottom was scraped up as all hell, but that's what skid plates are for.
I bought a 2013 and freakin' love it. But if I still had that 08 I'd be just as happy... I think

One more thing, my bro-in-law got a better deal on a new 2013 4-dr sport than the other 07 and 11 models he found. So the deals are out there. Good luck finding your jeep!
