Pros and cons with half doors?
I'm 99% sure I'm trading my full doors for half doors but what's your experience? I had half doors on my TJ and loved them but they had the "mailman" glass sliders. Is there anything like this available for the JK? Also I will be buying another set of full doors in the future to have both but I'm in no hurry for that. Several salvage yards around that have them. RIP.
So let's hear it...

Pros;
Light weight
offer some protection from external intrusion while wheeling
keeps mud and rain off your legs and seats
can be locked
multiple top half configurations,( soft window, sliders, no top half)
cheaper to fix or replace than a full door
You can remove them & take them with you
Cons:
easily broken into by thieves
only offer 1/2 the protection of a full door
doors can be stolen off jeep
Just my

Well, nothing inside to take.
Already caught a guy trying to take my full doors!
Side protection isn't that big of a concern. Thinking ace sliders in the near future.
Thanks, keep them coming...

Pros:
- When you have your top down/off you are wide open without having to take the doors off.
- Have a little protection with kids in the back while wheeling.
- Easier to get them off/on.
- I really think they look better!
Cons:
- They are probably noisier but I have only ever driven mine with half-doors.
- Probably a little leakier.
- The zipper windows are irritating sometimes (I cross the Bay Bridge twice a day).
I love them and would not part with them.

I really like them. Thanks for the pictures with all of the configurations. I like the front uppers off with the rears still in. I have the Trek Top NX so I don't think it will look as much like a safari vehicle.
As far as them with a hard top I sold that sum beach a week after I bought my Jeep. NEVER have been a fan of hard tops on JK's but thats just my...

I really like mine. Think it was reason I got the islander edition lol. Just a pain sometimes when your tryin to put the window up or down going down the road. And they leak a lil at the car wash. Not bad like what he'll bad just a few drops. If you find a set of sliders for them please let me know cuz they are a lil drafty in the winter. I have yet to find a set. I don't have a pic sure with them on but here's one with them off but it's a 2 door tho

I have both for my 2 door. My commute to work is so much nicer with half doors, i don't feel like I am driving to work. much better airflow and a place to rest your arm.
If you can afford the investment do both!!!
