This is a local price, do I need to shop around more? Thanks.
You didn't mention what the ply rateing is on these tires. This makes a big differance in price and performance.

I think it is more because of your odd size. There are plenty around in more common sizes.

we have a local goodyear tire and lube place. they pricematched and beat discounts online price. see if your area has one as the guys i dealt with at the goodyear place were A LOT nicer an easier to deal with than the dicks at discount.

I just got the exact same tire for my JK for $184 a piece mounted out the door. It was an amazing price that I couldn't pass up.

Been reading about the chalk test, can someone fill me in. Is it really the best way to manage PSI?

The chalk test is valuable because it helps determine the PSI that creates 100% tread contact on *your* vehicle. Do to variations in weight, heat, etc. it's hard for someone to suggest a perfect PSI. the chalk test gets you very close.

Note: the purpose is to get even tread wear. In all likelyhood, you can run higher PSI and get improved fuel economy or maybe lower PSI for a softer ride and still be fine.
