I have 15lb powertank an love it. I keep mine in a Tuffy drawer in the back. I run 37's. My fills run pretty much according to the chart posted. I do run into valve freezing mostly when it it colder out. In the winter I just put the bottle under the dash and turn the heat on full blast. Seems to work.

I have on-board air (Dual ARB) too, but the tank is way faster. The only think I don't like about the tank is that it does need to be refilled. When we are out we air up/down a lot because of the distances between trails. I am going to try to mount a Kilby system with my Hemi. Hopefully it will work out.

mbatf,

you have had your tank for 5 years now? when i got mine last year, i was told it would be a hassle to get it inspected every 5 years. did you get yours inspected and if so, who did it? i havent been able to find anyone who will do it.

Thanks for all the feed back on the Power Tanks. I'm leaning towards the 15lb because of running 37's.

Does any have "real" experience on how long it would take to air up a 37 on a 17x9 from 15psi to 45psi?

Anyone have the monster valves installed, do you think they are worth it?

Whatever you guys get make D**** SURE your tank is mounted so secure the world would fall apart before it separated from the roll bar bracket.

I've a cop friend who saw a guy killed by a box of Kleenix when on a sudden stop in an accident the box flew off the rear window shelf and the corner of the box piered his skull.

That tank has a lot of weight behind it, just be safe, be very, very safe with them.

That's odd, I have a friend cop with the same story, was your kleenex box made out of diamond plate steel too?

I recall that being a common urban myth...

But yes, in total agreement, those tanks look like skull crushers to me if something would go dramatically wrong...

in my opinion dont waste your money on a power tank or any other name brand for that matter. I purchaced a spun aluminum 10lb tank from a swap meet for $20.00 and a fixed regulator from a welding supply for another $20.00. with hose and access. i've got less than $60.00 invested and been using it for > 2 yrs. works great. it is a PITA to refill them though

Default 15lb Powertank

[QUOTE=JPTwinz;1501712]I have the 10lb tank with the XP300 valve upgrade. It kicks arse!!

Could you fit the 15 lb powertank in that space? Anyone using the 15 lb version?

I have the home brew set up. Picked up a 10lb tank at beverage elements (65$)and a fixed 150lb regulator at poly performance (40$). Built a mount out of some scrap steel I had laying around the barn. With the 10lb I can air my 35’s back up from 12lbs to 30 four times with some left. My local place just stopped swapping the 10lb bottles out so went with a five. Can do the tires twice and put my soft top up and down with it installed.
