Power & Convenience group?

Power & Convenience group?
Is there anyone out there who has the P&C group, but wish they didnt? Or how about someone that does not have it, but wished they did? It seems that the only Unlimited Rubicons left around for sale dont have power locks or windows. I had not considered NOT getting the power group, but now I am thinking about it.

When I went to the dealer I didn't care if I got it or not. I even told the dealer it wasn't important to me. But now that I have it I'm very happy. Oldschool jeep folks would argue that a real jeep doesn't have power windows, I say F that. With 2 doors it's probably not a problem to reach over and turn the crank but when your rockin a 4 door,no dice. In the summer my doors stay in my living room so that doesn't matter but the other nine months im happy to have power.
P.S. Get the keyless to, it keeps scratches off your paint around the keyholes.

Power windows, locks, keyless entry are convenient. That said, since I got mine in April, the factory doors are off 70% of the time... even in the light rain, the doors are off. So, basically, I only use power lock/keyless entry for rear gate for now (to secure the bottom cargo area - to store semi important stuff)! I'm sure I'd appreciate more when the winter comes.
If you drive most of the time doors off or use half doors, you probably don't need them. It's definitely good to have though. It's about $800 more (price might have gone up).

Didn't care if we had it initially. But now, wouldn't do without it, especially since it's 4-dr. It's wifey's driver, so it's nice that she can lock all 4 doors with one click. And the one touch down feature is nice, as well as closing all windows quickly in case of rain that night (or keeping the friggin cat out).

locks are useless on a jeep (except for a hard top... but i dont have that, since i live in the uber moderate climate zone of GA)
and for power windows... the way i see it, if its warm enough to roll down the windows... its warm enough to take off the doors!
plus it is one less thing to get broken or shaken apart on the trail.
when it comes to jeeps and gadgets... less is more!

When I bought my 2 dr. Rubicon, I didn't care one way or the other. My older XJ had electric windows, door locks and keyless entry, which I liked. My old TJ didn't. I found it somewhat inconvenient on the TJ, but not that big of a deal.
The dealer only had one Rubicon and it had the Power and Convenience group. Like so many of the others, I am really glad that I got it. It is really convenient. That said, it wouldn't be a deal breaker if it didn't have it. Bottom line for me: get it if you can. If not, get the vehicle anyway.

Just when I thought...
I couldn't possibly think of a real reason not to get it....sure there are the expenses of initial purchase, maintenance, long term issues - but all seemed reasonable for the convenience - especially if you have kids in the 4 door.
However, that thread about the keys being flushed ... and now returning ... I'm guessing that the power convenience key would not have faired so well under water for that long and worked without ANY glitch!
So, if you're really worried about your kids flushing your key(s) - maybe the power group isn't for you - then again - if you have kids that would flush your keys - you probably REALLY want control of those windows and the ability to unlock the doors!
Bottom line - another of those - chalk it up to personal preference things - we love ours and would definitely have ordered it again.
