I had this for about a week, driving me crazy. I finally laid next to the rear tires and the kid put it in gear and move forward. Loose bolt on the control arm located behind the rear tire. Pulled it apart, some locktite, checked the other bolts and no more problem. Been great for about a year now.

The bolt on rear links may be hitting the tire. Check fir a round clean spot in the inside of the tire. This happened to me and soacers solved the problem when i had a 2.5 lift.

Yes I did buy it new and No no major issues. I'm not too concerned about it but if someone found the culprit I would like to know.

So now more interesting news...just noticed an unusual wear on the edge of my 2 week old 305 Goodyear mt/r's. Had the alignment checked and the pressure lowered to 32 psi. Starting to wonder if all the issues are related...

And the saga continues...popping still happening. I got under there myself and was only able to move one thing, the fuel line from the tank to the cap...by the rear drivers side wheel. I think that may be the issue...

I have a 3 1/2 inch lift on 35inch toyo m/t's mine makes a noise similar to what your describing. I YouTubed it and I'm pretty sure it's bearings or something in the t-case.

You would think there wouldn't be so many crazy sounds on a vehicle that you can disassemble for every day driving but seriously, what is this noise?!?!?!

I've had the same "pop" both when stock and after the 2.5 in mopar lift. Almost always occurs when I pull out from the curb, with the top off I still can't tell which side it's coming from but definitely from the rear.
