Think we're just going to keep stashing away for a year or two and watch the economy
Hey funny thing though, we just got back from "a" dealership...not "my" dealership and wow what a laugh...the salesman was talking to my wife about the 4-dr Rubi, 6spd, rescue green, she wants an auto, she says "I want an auto", he says "but the manuals are easier to lift and better on the transmissions"......ya know I really did chuckle I couldn't hold it in and I'm a super nice guy...but damn...I told him "I said seriously bud, I'd stop right there if I were you, because that's just incorrect on every level".
Hey maybe I was gone that day in Jeep school after 5 jeeps, but he told us "no really it's a known fact that when you lift them and put bigger tires on jeeps the automatics are not as good"......yeppers...wow ....
SO ALL YOU GUYS WITH AUTOS, they suck if you lifted them and have bigger tires cuz this salesman said it was a fact

Get the Z06. Or a 06 or greater Viper if you want something that would spank the Z06
The Z06 is not a super friendly DD by the way. It is built for speed. It will do very high speeds in low gears and doesn't like putting around the street. You'll be lucky to get it into third each day. I drove one for 3 years. Should have gotten the Viper. I will in 17 months when the JK is paid for.

Get the C6 and the Rubi!!! This way if you want to take the Vette out, your wife still has her Jeep. Plus, if you were planning on spending 60k for the Z06, with the C6 and Rubi, you should be right at about that price point.

The Z06 would get 17-20 mpg. I'm not saying it wasn't stable. It certainly is that. Sometimes the fun in a car like that is being on the edge of the unknown. balanced chaos. You just have to drive it hard. The engine doesn't like low rpms going city speeds. or maybe that was me.
viper acr set the nurburgring record. zr-1 couldn't keep up.
