agreed, i know that i got a lot of ppl to do it yesterday from various way, calling txting, forums, facebook myspace etc. i'm going to guess most of the represenative will have blackberry's, palms, or iphones. hopefully they check their emails first thing in the morning. you are very correct this is a a huge up hill battle, but a hill that is well worth the climb. lets speculate the reps do not recieve the message before they vote. no matter what the results are they will see ppl tried to reach them being concerned with this issue, if this comes up in one of your, or my local areas this will be planted in their head that ppl want these lands open. the louder we make our voice the better, I hope we are able to save Moab, if not i hope this would be a step in the right direction to saving our favorite local riding spots.

sometimes I really do feel sorry for you guys in the United States, I was telling my wife how hard it is to go wheeling somewhere over there (she is from Texas) where we live we can just go into the woods anywhere we want to, we don't have any regulations yet as long as you don't mess up anything and get along with the locals.

Went to the link provided, couldn't find, H.R. 1925, I found HR 980. Sent a letter on that one too. It has to deal with off road riders

I am writing to ask that you oppose H.R. 980, the Northern Rockies Ecosystem Protection Act (NREPA). H.R. 980 will designate 24 million acres as Wilderness and components of the National Wilderness Preservation System in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.
I'll keep looking for 1925. Any ideas.

Edit: I found it, did a google search for "american motorcyclist association hr 1925" and it came up. Sent letters to my rep on both issues.

Done. I expect he'll vote against it; at least it's something we likely agree on (I'm a D and he's a very, very R R, so there's little else on which we agree).

As a mountain biker as well, this would be a terrible bill to pass. My fellow mountain bikers are linked with the 4x4ers to keep this kind of overstepping by the federal government from occurring. This would be devastating to the economy in Moab as it is driven by tourist in 4x4s and on mountain bikes. Just what we need in the middle of this economy!
