That would suck... Upgrading my Jeep over time and eventually taking it to Moab is my dream. It's my motivation for getting up every morning! (Well not really.)

exactly, here back east we already lost tellico. we had temporarily lost a place where i'm at, we had to fight get it back, and we only got part of it. this is a pandemic, winning this battle would be huge in the fight to keep public land open to the public. i think all ppl who love this sport should try to get active in some way, whether its just sending a email, or joining committee's to fight for our rights.

if anyone has ?'s about how our club works with our community please pm me, i would be more than happy to help. we are trying to do a lot of good things where were at to give the 4x4 community a good name. not the stereo type "bunch of dumb drunk hicks who tear up the land" its one of those things, once the land is gone its gone. getting land opened back up would literely take a act of congress

Default Help save Moab for future off road use!

found this on another forum.

"I need to ask a favor of you. I need you to give a few minutes of your time to help protect access to something amazing.

On October 1st a subcommittee in the House of Representatives will be meeting to consider the Red Rock Wilderness Act of 2009. This Act would designate much of Utah as "wilderness" and as such forever prevent you, your family, your friends.... flat out everyone, from ever wheeling there again. For example this act would prohibit wheeling in Moab.

I have traveled from my home here in Massachusetts all they way to Colorado and then on to Moab for the express purpose of wheeling. If you ever have the opportunity to wheel in Utah you will be amazed, it is so different from wheeling here in New England that you could just as well be wheeling on the moon. It is an adventure like none other. Given the opportunity, I WILL be going again.

Please Click This Linkand take a few moments to complete the form requesting your state representative oppose H.R. 1925. It is VERY EASY to do and almost completely automatic. Hell, even a caveman could do it! (sorry Geico )

Thank you for taking the time to do this. This bill would steal from you access to an area that is amazing. It is a gift to all of us and we need to fight to preserve it. Even if you yourself never go out west to wheel perhaps your children will. Help preserve their access.

Thank you,

Robert Sutter (Ipe)
President
Western Mass 4x4"

We need a thread similar to the lift giveaway for this as I would rather keep Moab and wheel it on a stock Jeep!

Needless to say messages sent to the a-holes in DC...if cap and trade, communism, and trying to tax us into the ground wasn't bad enough...now they're after the only thing that keeps some of us sane...
