Default Plastic (RotoMold) Half Doors?

OK, I have not seen these for a Jeep, but I was at the local Boat show & they had the new Honda UTV. How about Rogged Ridge, Best Top, or someone out there making these for a JK?

There was a guy from West Virginia that had a prototype for the jk. I really dont know if it went forward into production:

I agree this'd be a great alternative to the $4000 set of half doors for the unlimited. Perhaps if they were plastic they'd cost much less.

I ended up going with a set of Warrior tube doors for my 4-door Rubi, but I much rather had a sent of these (above). I really like the look of the half doors.

Bestop made a version of these for the TJ. I think it was some kind of thermopastic similar to the Hardtop. They came with speakers in them. I can't remember if they accepted uppers but I don't think they did. They were doomed with fitment issues. Warped in the sun, etc. They were very expensive and never took off. I think they sold for 600 bucks back then. Doesn't seem really expensive anymore.

Some black injection molded doors would be great.

Default Hm-m-m?

I have no idea about the production costs of Injection Molded Plastic but -You'd think if they priced these at like $400 they's sell the pants off 'em and get the numbers working. Black plastic is fairly neutral and would look alot cleaner than the tin, alum, plywood and fiberglass 1/2 doors I see on different Jeep models on the trail. I'm not being critical-to each his own and whatever works.
