I have a buddy out of work and really strapped financially right now with a kid due in July. His TJ Rubi is running on pure slicks and can't afford tires. Anyone getting new rubber and still have enough tread to pass inspection? If so, I'd come get them rather than you paying the tire dealer to haul them away. He needs 16's. 265/16's, but any 16 (31 " or less) from even a JK would work in a pinch. At least he'll have some tread for his pregnant wife to drive to work.

He's been a landscaper since high school, had his own landscape business for about 20 years until his body just couldn't do the physical labor anymore. He really knows his stuff, just needs to move into a supervisory role without the back breaking labor part.

Sorry I can't help but check out one of those used tire shops in the "south side" Get at least 2 for the front. Or craigslist under free stuff or for sale. I'll pray for him.

I don't know about PA but in CA there are tons on JK tires (non-rubi) for dirt cheap for 4 (like 100 bucks). Check there.

He can't pay his bills right now, much less come up with $100 for tires. That's why we're trying to find him some free ones that someone is throwing away.
