Don't they have systems for motorcycles? I bet they even have CB attachements, but I've seen plenty for bikes going down the road with riders having boom mics off the helmet.

My wife and I drive the Blue Ridge Parkway all the time with the doors and top off and we have no problem hearing each other when we speak - but we drive 35-45mph. I can't imagine 80mph with the doors and top off! It's gotta be a wind tunnel!

 

Hey sometimes I can't hear my wife with the hard top and doors on at hwy speeds. Then agian I have a problem hearing when they is background noise regardless.

I have seen a one piece mic and earphone combo for motorcycles. You need an intercom system and two of them but if it works there it will work for you.

 

You just made up my mind for me. I am taking off my top and starting to drive much faster. Maybe I'll add a loud exhaust too.
