That's cool... I do the same with my jeep - but as much as because I know they aren't going to ding my doors anymore than i will ding theirs...

Back when I was in high school I had a 65' Mustang 289 HiPo and a guy in a big lifted/tires truck parked beside me. When I got outta class I noticed a huge throng of kids near my car. Well the guy's back tire had caught my front fender and he dragged my car out of the spot and pulled it perpendicular to where it was originally. He drove off and later claimed he never felt it. Luckily alot of my friends were out near my car and told the on campus police. Ended up doing $5k in damage to my front quarters, which he paid for, and had his license suspended till he was 18, which he was 15 at the time and had no license to begin with. Sigh, people.

I hate it when people double park. When I can watch my vehicle (Jeep or otherwise) I'll park right next to people like that -- provided I can do so without double parking. And I jot down their license plate number in case there is damage and I somehow miss it happening. Whether that damage is either from them pulling out or vandalizing. I've also went to find the police to give them a ticket on a few occasions.

I guess we all could just get like 6inch+ lifts and run 38+ tires.....and be in a total different atmosphere...

That's nice! I hate parking lots, I use my Tacoma until I can get it to rust out.

Experience demonstrates that lots of people just don't care about your vehicle...or theirs....so park way out and run in...it's healthier for you and the JK

Driving to work in Center City Philadelphia recently, I was sitting in still traffic on a Friday night as my office is in the middle of the bar/restaurant area. I was on the cell telling work I would be delayed with the traffic, when a city cab pulls next to me on the left. I precede to ponder out loud to the person I was talking to that this guy getting out of the cab is gonna slam the door into my jeep. No sooner than 4 seconds later the cab door slams into my Jeep, literally rocking it. I cussed as loud and long as I could on the phone at the nitwit getting out of the cab in the middle of the street, not even curbside mind you. Even though the 'gentleman' was much larger than me I cussed him out just the same. He didn't even apologize, just looked at me shrugged his shoulders and walked off. I got in trouble at work, since when I cussed I was on a government law enforcement communications recorded line. oh well, thank god for the rock rails I put on just the week before. Gotta love the cab drivers and their ignorant passengers.
