Default Overspray on Plastic in Wheelwells

I had my jk undercoated when I bought it and didn't pay any attention to the overspray. Since I lifted it, you can really see the dirty, almost green coating. I called the dealer and he said to replace all of the panels wouild be over $400. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Pull the plastic wheelwell liners and spray them with black spray paint.

$4 for a can of paint beats $400

But if the dealership did it and they were sloppy about it, it should cost THEM $400, not you. . . . .

If the undercoating has cured enough you should be able to just pressure wash it off or if that doesn't do it then buy a spray can of tar remover and use some paper towels to wipe it off. Or you could just wait a little while and buy some tube flares and throw the plastic splash shields in the dumpster.

Good answers. I took it to a private Ziebart shop, I can imagine what they would say. I might try to clean in the short term.

The tube fendors don't use the plastic interliners? I know down the road that's the direction I want to go. But too many other things to spend on right now.

Run it through a mudhole so you can't see the overspray. You're welcome.

If you had it Ziebarted, take it back to the original sprayer, or if you want to do it yourself, use mineral spirits. I work for Ziebart, and thats what we use.

Take it back to whoever messed it up, if they will not fix it maybe they will tell you what they use to clean it off them tell them they at least owe you enough of it to fix it yourself.
