The Outlaw Was Hit
A young girl (17) ran a red and hit my JK. The impact was right at the center cap of the rear tire (drivers side). The axle shifted laterally about 4 inches. There didn't appear to be any body damage other than a scuff on the bumper and the fender is a little loose but as usual there was a nice coat of mud. Anyone have any experience with damage like this? I'm going to the shop tomorrow to discuss the repairs and want to be prepared. I don't have any pics of the damage but will try and get a few tomorrow. Is there anything I should look for?

Watch for drive shaft isseus and of course anything else connected to the axle. Odds are you might have significant damage there, but again, it may not be as bad as it seems.

Raising the driving age probably won't help any. Driving like a jackass at age 16 is no different than driving like a jackass at 37. I've seen plenty of people of all ages on cellphones driving. States need to mandate teaching your kids not to be idiots. But hey, good luck with that right?

Sorry about your accident and hope you're ok.
As for young drivers, I blame video games where you pretend to drive, and wreck, and keep going and wreck and keep going and wreck.....
