When I was little, and old sailor told me that I should never go out on the water without a flashlight and a knife. I brought that over from the water to the Jeep. And they have been used in numerous situations already. Plus sunscreen, bug spray, torx bits, a multi bit screw driver, towels and a bottle opener

If you're going topless and may encounter rain its not a bad idea to bring a tarp and some bungees to hold it in place if there is no cover to park under. Just make sure its big enough unlike mine. Doh...grabbed the small one! Fortunately nothing more than a few sprinkles...haha live and learn right. That's what those drain plugs are for.

Fluids, gotta have your fluids: Antifreeze/Coolant, Windshield Washer, Oil, Brake, Power Steering.
Jumper Cables
Tow Strap/Recovery Gear
Road Flares
Flashlight
Work Gloves of some form
Tarp - for when the top is off and it starts raining
Bungee Straps - To hold the aforementioned tarp
Bungee Balls - Tarp/Mesh Top
Razor Knife - Never know when you may have to cut a seat belt or the like
Toilet Paper/Baby Wipes - Cause, well you know
First Aid Kit
Bug Spray
Sun Tan Lotion - Having a bald head with the top off hurts without it, learned that lesson the hard way
Garbage Bags - You take it in, you bring it back out
Rags - for checking fluids/cleaning hands off/etc
1/4in Drive Ratchet Set - Use this for T45 (Can't remember for sure) Torx for taking the top off
Multi-Bit Screwdriver
Couple of bottles of water
Fire Extinguisher
Spare Fuses
Spare Headlamps/Other Bulbs
Hand Sanitizer
Maps of the area that you will be in
Duct Tape
Electrical Tape
Zip Ties
WD40

and a 2-1/2 lbs hammer. If you can't fix it with one of these,
while on the trail chances are you ain't gonna fix it till ya get it
in a shop.)
