Here's my update. Despite the fact that I thought I could get $6000 of MRSP, I now have a written quote for an '08 4dr Rubicon fully loaded w/Nav, Dual Top Group, Auto, Tow, Power Conv. and Deep Tint Windows at $5700 under MSRP or about $2650 under invoice (give or take a few bucks). The $300 difference is a little annoying, but not too bad AND I haven't negotiated it in person yet. I'll go down to the dealer tomorrow to take look, give it a drive and, hopefully, complete the transaction with the full discount I expected.
In the meantime, my other two dealers are MIA, but I still hope to hear from them. As a result, I don't know yet what exactly the $5700 discount consists of and how much Chrysler is kicking in as a dealer incentive, but I'll let you know as soon as I find out.
For those of you in the market, I think $5700 off on a new Rubi is pretty good. I hope you can meet or exceed it. Please let everyone know how you make out in your buying saga!

I don't know about the 2dr Wrangler, but I'm getting 16.03% off the MSRP including all options and the destination charge. In other words, as a general guide, you should take the Total Price at the bottom of the Sticker on the exact 2dr you want to buy and multiply it by 83.97% to get the price you should pay. If they're offering that discount on their "top of the line" model with limited availability, they should do at least that much on all the other Wrangler models.
Good luck!

Got a email from jeep saying that they were haveing a 1000 dollar incentive. Should I call the dealer and ask? The price on their website doesn't show a discount.

If you're really ready to buy, go down to a dealer that has the exact one you want and negotiate your best price based on what I just told you. When you think you've got it, tell them you have to think about it then WALK OUT and go to a couple of more dealers in your area to see if they'll beat it. Ultimately, you'll want to buy from the dealer you plan to have it serviced at, but only if they match the best deal you get. There are plenty of Jeep dealers within a reasonable drive from Spencer, Mass so you should be able to get some good comparison pricing without too much effort.
