October 2008 Jeep Incentives
For the benefit of everyone, please post any information you come across regarding any new incentives that Jeep comes out with on October 1 or 2 on the remaining 08 and new 09 models. With the new $25 Billion worth of government loan guarantees for the auto makers, several months supply of 08models still sitting on lots and production of 09s having started in late July, I think we'll see increased incentives on all models in the next couple of days.
In particular, if you hear of any "hidden" dealer incentives, it would be great if you would post it.
Thanks!

Here's the scoop. Tonight, I got a dealer down to $3000 below invoice on a fully loaded 2008 Wrangler 4dr Rubicon (w/ the Nav package and NO miles). That translates into about $6000 below MSRP. That's about $2000 better than I saw in the NE market in September. Every resource I've called on or looked at says that there MUST be a big hidden dealer incentive that just kicked in today. As of October 1, Edmund's says that in NE there's a $1000 customer incentive (it's $1500 or $1750 elsewhere) , $400 marketing support and about $3000 difference between the MSRP and the Invoice on a fully loaded 4dr Rubicon. That only totals a $4,400 discount off MSRP, not $6000. Even if you factor in the holdback of approximately $1000, there's still $600 missing. However, I DON'T think that the dealer is giving me their holdback or their marketing support. That means there's $2000 missing in the amount they're willing to discount the Wrangler.
WHERE IS THE OTHER MONEY FOR THE DISCOUNT COMING FROM??? It must be a hidden dealer incentive. If anyone can find out what that dealer incentive is, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for the input and Happy Trails!!!
