Funny story and to be honest there is a reason for the stupid law, part of the inspection code here in the wonderful Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania.
Stupid games usually get stupid prizes. For example a ticket.
Don't question my respect for law enforcement! I don't care who you are though, you don't have the right to be an a-hole just because you have a badge!

I've known about this law on the Pennsylvania records for a number of years. It is petty, and for the most part, quite un-necessary. What is even more petty and un-necessary is for an officer to pull you over strictly for this violation. If you were slinging mud all over the road due to the fact your tires exceed the width of the Jeep, then that is one thing, but it sounds as if you were merely chugging along in traffic. To me this is a waste in govt. spending. If he had you pulled over then he probably missed countless moving violations that are far more important.

I have a question for the OP ... what's a MJ? ... a Jeep or truck?
also, I'd like to know what an AEV Brute is?... a Gladiator? .. and whatever Jeep calls a pick-up if or when they decide to build one again.
actually, I think arguing with a cop about semantics when he was just giving you a friendly warning wasn't the best move. The goal around here after getting pulled over by a cop is to escape with your life... I will leave it at that.
now... answer my questions young grasshopper.

New Jersey has the same stupid fender flare law, so glad I don't live there anymore. It looks ridiculous to me having the tire tucked under the flare. I have always liked the wide tire look with the tread blocks poking out of the fenders.
