Default My hard top is up for sale…

I changed over to a soft top about 4 months ago and l won't be going back. It's not perfect, but I like having the ability to take it off on the fly. The wrangler is the only off-road vehicle on the market that offers that choice, and I think it's a mistake to take it away. Even if the new top is completely removable, it doesn't sound like it will be portable enough to take with you, so most people probably won't take it off. Which is probably the whole point.

Some good point here. Perhaps we will see a bit of a flood of mall crawling Rubiicons on the pre owned market, enough that drives competitive pricing. Right now there's not a huge spread from pre own and new.

I have both tops, can't imagine no soft top in the summer, the freedom, the fresh air, the iconic look, and would miss those rear window straps loops just dangling about.😊

Take a look at TJ's and how their prices are still holding. Can't imagine JK's being any different once the new Wrangler comes out.

I'm looking to buy a new one in 2019 or 20, but if they screw it up, I'll get a low mileage late model JK. I'm keeping my 08, though, no matter what.

Lol! Wishful thinking on my part I guess. Agreed it's amazing how well the TJs hold their value too. Wranglers are at the top of this fir resale value.

For the price delta I'd go new. I'm keeping a close eye on the new JL when it arrives, by then I estimate 210,000 Kms on my 08' Cant nor does it makes sense to get rid of it at that point.

Only thing that would force me to get a pre owned JK as new as I could find it, is if the powers to be at Jeep really really mess things up. Hope their top brass read these forums, and don't mess up an American Icon!!!!!!!!
