newbie question...JACK?
I just had my 08 wranger lifted, mainly because I thought it looked cool. now I realize I have no idea about any of this.
this is a (not the first) dumb question. I have BF315-17-70 tires along with a 3" lift. will my stock jack work if I have a flat. I have been looking and i'm seeing higlift jacks. do I need this? Is there a pretty good cheap one? lol
Also, is there a forum here for begginers so I can look through other post for questions I may have? or another website?
grateful for ANY help.... thanks!

Hi lift jack is for offroading, lifting your jeep by your (upgraded) bumper etc, bumpers will say they have jack points, notches in the steel frame. It can also be used as a manual winch which is difficult and dangerous compared to a come-along hand winch. Its not really made for flat tires if I am correct, I just don't see that it has a way to go under your frame. They are sold online and at Tractor supply for around $80. You probably can test out your own jack to see how high it goes and then just carry a big block of wood to extend it as a base, of course you need to be cautious. I have seen the AEV jack base product which just gives a bit of lift and a wider base offroad.
I am a newbie offroader too...

Check out the JK Off-Road 101 section, lots of good tips in there. The AEV Jack Base is a great product especially if you don't want the bulky HiLift. It lets you raise the Jeep by the axle (with stock jack) instead of the bumper like the HiLift. Also stores neatly into the rear storage compartment.
