I go to southern, out there you can crawl or play in dirt or sand, sometimes montessa, and also Los Lunas

Is Southern the site next to the interstate, leaving Abq travel up steep graded road out of the city?

"Southern" is likely Southern Blvd in Rio Rancho. Head west until it dead ends at the sand dunes by the power lines. I think it's about 11 miles west of the Southern and Unser intersection.

That area is more familiarly called the Puerco or Rio Puerco area. Lots of trails and stuff to see/do. You can drive around 99% of it in 2wd and hit the obstacles when you want for more fun.
