not necessary, everything is circulating regardless of whether you engage the t-case or not, everything needing lubrication is getting it every time you drive in 2wd

Is it a good idea to engage 4WD every so often, even if it is not needed? Say once a month or so? Thinking that doing so will circulate the fluids and keep all the components lubricated. Does not say to do this in owners manual, but some 4WD adventures are several months apart.

(I'd rather have old school lock-out hubs to save wear and eliminate vibration) the front axle and driveshaft are always rotating and getting lubricated. Your front end is disengaged at the transfer case. Periodic use is unnecessary in the JK.
