As far as getting caught in the rain with the electronics- I thought that just having the freedom panels on would protect me and the dash from most of the rain but it just created a vacuum and the rain came over the panels and right back into the cab, onto the dash and radio. I had to drive like that for about an hour and tried to cover up the radio with my free hand but it still got soaked. Thankfully, there were no side affects or damages so I'm guessing that the dash and stock radio is relatively water resistant. However, don't read this and then go power wash the electronics...

Welcome to the world of Just Empty Evey Pocket! It's a terrific addiction!

The back window is designed to roll up, just expect scratches if you do. It's a 50/50 thing with me, sometimes it goes up, others it comes out.

The nuts on the hinges really isn't a big deal, it only takes an extra 5 minutes to uninstall and reinstall them. I can live with that.

If you have a heavy spare tire with the stock carrier I wouldn't add a bike rack to it. Way too much weight too far out from the gate. The great thing with hitch mounted racks is that they are a long term investment and can move from vehicle to another.

Stay away from Wet Okole seat covers. You'll sweat your ass off. Trek Armor is the way to go!

Mopar floor liners (slush mats) are only $50 at most dealers for a pair. They're tough as balls and look great. I'd choose them if I didn't have any already.

Tuffy Jeep products offer lots off safe storage options, I've honestly never have seen a bad review yet.

Good luck, my best advice to all rookies is to research research research before any purchase. Make a plan and have a goal where you want to be. It'll save you money in the end!

I liked this rack the best because I could take it on and off easily, leaving only the mounting post in the middle of the spare time.

I have a stock sized spare tire and nothing was bent or ripped of after using that rack.

Let me know if you have other questions.
i would agree here. the rack is also handy for other things like lawn trimmers, skis, axes, Hockey sticks etc. With 2 bikes on there its too heavy to be opening and closing with all that going on. i recently added the teraflext hinge to help out swinging the weight around. Another side benny was that it save my wheel when i was rear ended last fall.
