Is an I-4 going to offer us that much more in performance? And at what Price? All the current HEMI swaps are way out of my comfort zone in regards to price.

I'm currently leaning more towards one of the LS engine swap options.

How are the Hemi swaps uncomfortable in price but and LS swap is not. My personal opinion and experience the Hemi swap would very easily come in cheaper.

Gen III LS kits (MoTech) and used engines are near the cost of your Hemi swap.

Prices I've seen on a complete HEMI install are in the $20K-$30K range. Prices I've seen on Gen 3 & 4 LS installs are in the $10K-$15K area.

After all said and done, selling parts, 3.8 eng and trans and Tcase from Hemi dropout. Into it just a smudge under $7k. That's DIY. Turnkey Hemi swaps can be had way under $20k.

Turn Key Hemi installs
Turnkey Installs - Dakota Customs

5.7 Hemi=$23K
6.4 Hemi= $32.5K
7.0 Hemi=$36.5K

You get me everything I need for a HEMI install for $7K, I'll pay you $3K to come over and install it. Bring your tool box.

Here's how I did it. Spreadsheet about to the nuts and bolts. I did not use a crate motor. I could never have done it at those prices. Smart patient shopping is your friend if you are on a budget.
