Default New Diesel!! But...

I feel this is step in the right direction for the jeep. My only problem with this set up is that I feel having the engine start and stop each time the car stops might be excessive wear and tear and possibly be dangerous for the engine (i.e. engine stops when muffler is submerged in water). With this being said, does anyone think it will be hard to override this function? Of course this is all purely speculative but I am interested about this subject. Thanks guys.

Chuck

Thats great stuff for a golf cart! For offroad use it would suck.

They have had start / stop technology in europe for a number of years now and i have heard nothing negative about it. there is an over ride on the system so there should be no problem for 4 wheeling.

Agree, how about those nifty side steps? Looks like some Euro-Aero body kit that hopefully we won't see in production. JMHO

Okay,

I'll give it the benefit of a doubt but it sure doesn't sound like a good Idea to me.

The bumper is from a euro spec JK. They have much more strict bumper standards to better protect ppl in the event you hit a pedestrian. That's what I understand anyhow.
