According to the Toledo Blade, it sounds like some of these changes will come in conjunction with the Wrangler's 70th anniversary. The paper reports that Chrysler is planning a "major refresh" to the interior in the spring of this year and, in 2011, expects to "mark the 70th anniversary of the Wrangler's production with a new powertrain and special anniversary models."

An interior refresh makes sense. A lot easier to change plastic molds and fabrics than sheet metal, after only 4 years with a customer base that doesn't demand it.

My lease is up but I am extending for 10 more months (yes, jeep will let me) -
Hope 2011 has new engine and interior changes -
Then I will order!!!!
Then mods will begin and I will have a great 2007 Rubicon for sale - I have too much $ into it to return it.

There is a considerable amount of changes they can make:
- back seats that recline a bit
- a pop up head rest in the middle back seat
- re do the speakers in front of the back seat that adults always bump there heads on
- plastic upgrade, (yea I like the "tupperware plastic" too, but and upgrade is needed
- relocate that subwoofer
- pre pad the hard top, like the "hothead" liner for harsher climates
there's a just a lot more that can be done with the huge space in the back of the LWB and give the bench in the 2 door a split.
If they make it more comfy, maybe my Wife will want an new one and I get to upgrade the Rubi we now have with mods!!
