Hi all,
Just an update. I have over 3000 miles on my 2012 Jeep now.
First 1500 miles had me worried cause at best 17mpg was rare.
Now, from 2000~3000 miles I finally get 300~325 miles per 17gallon tank of same mixed driving.
So, the mileage does improve with a llittle bit of engine use. Maybe a AirRaid, Catback, and chip willl help that a tiny bit more.
I want to downgrade to some 16in Wheels (in white color) and put some 235/85/16 aka. 33in wheels that are 9.5in wide = pizza cutter look. That might help
Thank you all for the replies.

My 2012 jku sport was getting about 10 to 12 mpg for the first 1500 miles. I called the dealership and they updated my computer for me. Now im getting about 18 mpg. On a recent road trip i calculated it out that i got 21 mpg for about 150 miles each way. I am running stock right now. This also may have been because everything has broken in a bit too but i think the update helped as well.

I've been getting 13mpg in my jeep, rated 16/20?
And I'm amazed and happy with that... hopefully it'll go up with more miles, I'm only at 1001...
My commute is pretty terrible for gas mileage, I was getting 16mpg with my previous car, which was rated 23/28.

What speed do you think is the best for mpg? What about a K&N air filter? Would that have any difference? Any other recommendations for better mpg?
Thanks!

When it was new it would give me 250 miles per 17gallons (sometimes less) and I would granny it on both street and Freeway.
Now, it drive it a little harder on the street but still just 65mph on Freeway and get 310ish~325 miles per tank.
I was surprised it improved this much, but happy to see its more in line to what it should be for a new 2012 engine.
I hear some folks here get well over 350 miles per tank....im looking forward to that.
The pizza tire look with white rims is because I like the Milllitary look.

I put it on Cruise Control as much as I can. Set it at exactly 65mph.
Im curious myself on the K&N, cat-back, and chip combo. What does that do if anything.
by the way the Cat-back I want mainly to gain more ground clearance and for a beefy graspy sound.
