It's right under the steering column, see this pic. I also have an alarm style pin right next to the washer fluid, see other pic. Is this pin factory?

I've been wondering about that stupid pin myself. Caused me a lot of grief when I was installing my new horn...

pretty sure the pin is a sensor for when the hood is open for the starter kill... do you have remote start?

Is it factory or aftermarket? I hope that's not the shock/montion sensor for an aftermarket starter/alarm.

That's the worst install I've ever seen either way, I'd be in there tomorrow asking for a new panel and for it to be installed properly.

Aftermarket. Took apart the dash and there are a lot of splices. No brand names and Google doesn't recognize any numbers on the parts. Also, on the bigger box, the green thing is an adjustment for Min and Max...

That button engages the warp drive.

With a min/max it sounds like a proximity sensor wired in to the alarm.

Never thought about that. Hardly ever used my remote start anyway. Although with winter coming up, and since I couldn't get it to fit with the new horn, I might just take some duct tape and tape it down.

Min/Max? Maybe electric trailer brake controller? Seems a likely place for one! Can you trace the wires back?
