New '13 JKUR in Dune or New '14 JKUR in Anvil??
I'm driving everyone around me nuts so I guess I'll ask the forum. Looking at getting back into a JK Unlimited (have had 5 ). At 2 different dealers I have the following options:
2014 New JKUR (5 miles) in Anvil/blk interior, top, flares
2013 New JKUR (330 dealer miles) in Dune/blk interior, top, flares + has remote start and climate control
$2,100 less for the left over 2013 and priced at trade-in value for a used one with 3K miles.
So equipment is good on both, though I'm not sure that I need the extra headache of remote start and climate control. It comes down to whether or not to get a leftover '13 for cheaper and whether or not to get Dune or Anvil. Wife would prefer White or Flame Red, but I like Dune or Anvil given that they're new colors and you don't see many. Anvil seems to be the preferred color as many don't care for Dune; however is Anvil and a '14 worth the $2,100 difference?? Only other '14 difference (besides being a year newer) is the upgraded EVIC but I'm not sure how big of a deal that is.
Thanks for any help with my insanity! I've pretty much decided on a Rubi though even that is in question at times.

When I bought my Rubicon I was looking at some anvil 14's as well. I went with my black 13' Rubi for the deal I got and more features over the 14's. I say if you like the dune color go for it!!

You're overthinking it. This will be your fifth or sixth JK in only seven model years. Whatever you choose, will be for sale in a few months.
Anvil is likely a color better suited for resale value.

Thanks all for the opinions so far! I'm wishy-washy on Dune and what I'll think of it each and every day, but $2000 is $2000! It would certainly look the cleanest (aside from white) on the mile of gravel road it's going to see everyday. I'll keep thinking .... may just get a '14 in white an be done with it!

I would get the anvil. It is a great color, and you don't see many out there. You don't see many in dune either but I personally think it's one of the worst colors that have been offered for the JK. Also, being a year newer, it is going to have a higher resale vqlue down the road.
