Exclamation NEED to win an argument with my wife...

Does anyone know where I can find data on how the Unlimited JK fares versus other similar sized suv's in rollovers? She is still stuck in the '70's thinking that the JK is more apt to rollover than other vehicles. I argued with her and told her about the changes made to correct that when they went from the CJ's to the Wranglers. However, I cannot win this argument without facts. I am currently searching, but am hoping someone knows where I can easily find this info.
Thanks in advance.

Here is from 2005. Something for her to chew on. You can also
note the advances in stability control now on the Wrangler.
However, no 4 door mentioned since it was back i n '05.
I'd bet it did not slip down the list much lower relatively since then.

Here is one more site that gives a ratings.

These are all '08 model ratings.

This link is an unlimited x - shows a rating of 1.18 (4 of 5 stars)

http://www.automallusa.net/2008/jeep...r/ratings.html

Here an 08 Chevy Tahoe, getting a 1.12 (worse 3 of 5 stars)

http://www.automallusa.net/2008/chev...e/ratings.html

and the illustrious Volvo XC90 - the supposed king. It got a 1.19

www.automallusa.net/2008/volvo/xc90/ratings.html

Might be enough to win the battle.

they used to tip over easier if you drove like an idiot back in the CJ days or had to swerve severely to avoid a accident. when the wrangler came out in 87 they made the wheel base wider to help with that, and now the JK is even wider then even the TJ

hope you can convince her with what others have posted

Thanks to all. This is plenty of ammo. We were talking about the dangers of riding around without the top with the kids. I won't go on a long trip with them without the top, but I do around town. We live in a small town. The conversation progressed to the argument of rollovers. I had already explained the wider wheelbase, but ther real eye opener for her were some of the other vehicles that scored lower than the JK.

Remember NEITHER top is for occupant safety or restraint...

I've got a big yellow sticker in my JK, that says the roof and the doors will not save your ass, so buckle up you mo-fo, we put them on to protect you from the crap flying around on the highway....
Something like that. my wife points it out when we go topless.
