Default Need to regear BAD

So I'm running 3.21 gears and it does find for the kind of wheeling I do (for now). But I was pulling my trailer and it's the first time I've pulled it with my jeep. It only had 3 not very heavy quads on it and omg I was cruising in 4th gear and was hitting hills in 3rd and was close to dropping it down to 2nd. It was the only time I was disappointed with my jeep.

a buddy i wheeled with today has your same jeep. he is planning a regear to 4.56 for his 6spd. his decision was based on off road ability, then cost. he said the 4.10's he found were $700/set -vs- $400/set for 4.56's

i cant comment on what is best for trailer towing.
i just know i wont even try to tow with my 2010 auto w/35's.

I know how you feel...i libe in hilly areas and wish mine had at least the 3.73's...which i got screwed by the dealer..long story. But i looked into regearing, 4.10's cost like 100 bucks more than 4.56's or 4.88's! why, i have no idea...never had this problem with ford 8.8 gears...but it is what it is.

It's prolly because more ppl want 4.10s becuz i think it's your best all around gear. You still got decent highway gearing and you got good off road gearing.
