I just got done spending alot of time and money on my first Jeep, 1994 YJ. I got to tell you that if it came down to it I'd sell my 08' Rubi first. To many memories in that 14 yr old Jeep, even more so for you and the CJ. Do what ever you have to, KEEP THEM BOTH!! The Jk is new enough that you can always buy another, but the CJ, you would never find YOUR CJ again..

You said you're a Father, Dad and you have responsabilities. You also said you can't keep both. You made the decision to purchase the JK - so you have a JK. Sell the vehicles you now don't need and treat the JK just like you would your CJ. Yeah I know - CJ , CJ - this is my 6th Jeep, I understand.
With your big-boy responsabilities one is to know that you made a financial decision to buy the new Jeep and you now have it. It will do whatever you would have done with the CJ and in more comfort and better.
You are now the proud owner of a JK - enjoy it.
