Thanks for all the Suggestions. Believe me - I would buy the boards in Brooklyn - there's a Home Depot not too far away. Only problem is - I'm taking up a dis-assembled custom door casing that I made down here and still have to take tools up as well.

Sorry, I was at work and actually had to do some. So I could not get back to you yesterday.
In answer to your questions.
Question 1. Why?
ans. You are living in the city with the best Bar-B-Q in the world.
Question 2. What Exit?
ans. NJTP #2 Ha!
Sorry for ASS U MEing next time I'll just look at the photo in your avatar
Here is a question for you.
Why the hell are you bringing boards up to NYC? They actually have Home Depots and Lowes up there.
PS: If you like trains check out the Transportation Museum in Spencer. When you leave there make a right out of the lot, go about a mile and half up Salisbury Ave. to Steves Bar-B-Q

Sounds like something that would fit with the rear seat folded down and the front tipped as far forward as it can. They will not lay flat but angled it might work. I would check it out just to see before I decided to do any major removals of things.

Solved my problem - thanks everyone. After loading all my tools inside the JK with the tablesaw in the rear - i removed the passenger side headrest and put two bolts in a 2' 2X4 to fit into the headrest holes and everything miraculously sat on the table saw and the top of the seat. All taped together and bungeed - I think it feels pretty solid.

I had a pickup until the JK.
I went to Menards and bought a new aluminum screen door...
A screen door is 6'-8" tall but with the packaging it was more like 7'-8"
You can't get 8 feet of anything let alone a packaged screen door "inside" the 4 door JK, get a ruller.
I took the packaging off and it just fit.
So drop the top and use the cage for the wood.

8 1 x 6 x 8', 5 1 x 6 x 8', 3 1 x 10 x 8' and some shorter lengths. All rested on top of the passenger seat without interfering with center console etc.
