Angry My new jeep got keyed...

I will post a photo, but I'm too pissed off to take one right now. Just venting really... I did a lot of stupid things as a kid, but never wrecked anyone's property.

I will be looking for some suggestions to fix it as its not like someone really "leaned into it", not sure if it can be buffed out, and just a clear-coat re-applied??... I dont know much about body work.

Instead of the damage, I will post a photo I took today, I love my jeep.

Btw, how do I embed a photo in a post like you guys do?

My next photos should have my wheels tires and lift... very excited.

I'd probably kill a random person. One time a kid threw a snowball over my Jeep and I twitched a couple of times. I guess maybe you'll get over the "new Jeep" feeling and brave the trails fearlessly. My first Jeep was broken into before I even made my first payment. I feel your pain. Sucks, dude! Sorry to hear it! I'm still in the stage where I don't mind it getting dirty but I don't want any scratches or dings. I did some stupid crap when I was a teen and I hope that karma doesn't exist.

im sorry to hear about that man! Its one of my biggest fears because its so easy for anyone to do right up there with breaking in through the soft top or not even having a top on and just damaging it.

I hope someone on here has some suggestions so you can restore it to its formal beauty

Me I can't wait to get my jeep keyed , I know it's sounds crazy , but I will use my insurance to get it painted satin black , so the damage is done , so find a postive outlook , maybe your ins will just cut you a check and you might be able to get it buffed out and have enough money left to buy a bumper

Nice rig Fattony. People who do that kind of thing are lower than dirt. I've had it happen a couple of times over the years so I feel your pain. If the scratch didn't go deeper than the clear coat it shouldn't cost to much to repair.

Lance: Still got your Malibu?
Vincent: Aw, man. You know what some f*cker did the other day?
Lance: What?
Vincent: F*cking keyed it.
Lance: Oh, man, that's f*cked up.
Vincent: Tell me about it. I had it in storage for three years, it was out for five days and some d*ckless piece of sh*t f*cked with it.
Lance: They should be f*cking killed. No trial, no jury, straight to execution.
Vincent: Boy, I wish I could've caught him doing it. I'd have given anything to catch that assh*le doing it. It'd been worth him doing it just so I could've caught him doing it.
Lance: What a f*cker!
Vincent: What's more chickensh*t than f*cking with a man's automobile? I mean, don't f*ck with another man's vehicle.
Lance: You don't do it.
Vincent: It's just against the rules.

Arses... Try a good polish and then wax. That mitigated some scratch damage on mine. It might be livable for you then.

There's a school field over a row of houses by mine. Some jackholes started launching golfballs out into the neighborhood. I know 'cause one hit the hood of my (older) truck) and I found two balls nearby, one w/ hood paint on it. Nice dent now. I'd seriously throttle the kid if I ever found him.

Sorry to hear that bro. That sucks. When I got my old '85 CJ7 Line-X'ed I never worried about it again. Your Jeep looks great, and hopefully you can get it buffed out, but if not, look into the Line-X. I hope karma catches up with the little dirt bag and he loses his keys permanently.

Funny enough, turns out I was parked under a security camera... Its being checked out. Still does not mean I'll catch the jackass.

Thanks for the suggestions, this forum rules!

Insurance in canada is pretty pricey and when you make a claim your premiums increase significantly.... It would be sweet to paint it a flat black or charcoal.
