My jk saved my life Friday
well...I only drive the JK to work a few days a month..my commuter is a 2002 alero . This last past Friday I decided to drive the JK...I was doing about 78 mph in the fast lane on a 3 lane highway at 4:30 am ...the guy in the middle lane just in front of me hits this piece of box steel (looked like a piece sliding glass door frame) that was "L" shaped about 3'x 2' long and about 3" thick . I had no time to react and BAM I run it over with my front right tire then it bangs the undercarriage thru to the back left tire where it exits. I slow down to 65 then until it felt safe to keep going knowing my tires were still intact. I then speed up get his lic #...then go on to work. I find out at work it had slammed into my front bumper putting a 2" tear in my lic plate. I started thinking about the fact that if I were in the Alero..it probably would have gone up over the hood right thru my windshield and yes....into me,,,at 78 mph...well..lets just say the JK saved my life IMO...

Just one more proof that God loves Jeeps (and Jeepers!)
If that had been a Hummer, you probably would have blown up.
Good to hear that you're alright.

my jk saved my life. this is how it works, if you had taken your other car everything would have been different, so chances are you wouldn't have been at the same place at the same time. so lets just not get poetic here.

A few days ago. I was going on a flyover from the Toll road to the Intersate and swerved when I saw a bunch of boards lying in both lanes. I was in the right lane and moved to the left, but I hit them anyway. I wa doing close to 70 MPH. Thankfully there were no nails in them, as my tires haven't gone flat yet. The Jeep didn't even feel like it wanted to tip over.
