LOL!! as a matter of fact, i just did that a couple of weekends back at this arizona mall....

This was one of the speed bumps leaving the mall...

and another...

This last one, i slipped off the curb and landed squarely on the point of this small speed bump with my factory gas tank skid. It sure is good to have peace of mind knowing how well it does it's job. Good thing i paid so much money to get it.... oh wait, that's right, it came with my JK at no additional charge

I've been considering after market skids, but now I think I'll stick with the factory skids for a while longer.
just trying to save you guys some money - don't need to be buying replacement parts for things that do just fine if not better anyway.

only for the JK - not of anything extra like you would have in order to get unnecessary aftermarket replacement skidplates

fair enough. all the more reason why i would hate to spend even MORE money on a replacement set of skidplates that don't even do a better job of protecting my jeep.

I'm running the River Raider oil pan, transmission and evap skids, which I bought cheap from craigslist.
Thanks to this thread, I'll stick with the oem transfer case skid instead of the $300+ River Raider version.
