Sorry guys, but I love the arguments and debates over 20 or 23 mpg or even getting above 15.....I consistently get 11.5-12 on the computer, but absolutely love my mod'ed brick on wheels.

...and if you are calculating manually you should double check the capacity of the fuel tank ... my guess is you are using the incorrect tank capacity
There is a huge difference between driving 70 and driving 45-50. The JK gets its best MPG's in the 45-50 mph range. I got 23 MPG's driving from Burlington VT to Maine last summer to go white water rafting, on 2 lane roads going about 50 mph. The MPG's really start to drop of quickly when you get above 60.

Also the automatic has a significantly deeper overdrive than the manual, so it has the potential to get slightly better mileage (especially if their are no hills).

My speedometer has shown 25.3 on one tank of fuel. I average between 21 and 24 mpg.

I have also gotten very good gas mileage on the back roads of Maine. Seeing as there is only one and a half north/south highways, and zero east/west highways, there are lots of 45-50 mph back roads.

I used to get 21 and 22 regularly. Till the whole ethanol mixed gas BS push. Now i"m lucky to beat 19 and if I do its just barely. Damn corn oil.

I don't see how you guys could be getting that good of MPG. my '08 6 speed Rubicon gets terrible hwy fuel economy. I get almost as good around town.

Yeah, thats the problem with mine. My 6 speed Rubicon is turning almost 3000 RPM at interstate speeds (75-80).

Mine says I'm getting 14.0 mpg haha, but thats constant city driving... and the motor only has 1300 miles still. Oh well hopefully it gets better, I still am waiting to log some more miles before I install my superchips flashpaq too.

I am thinking the pure gas improved my gas mileage on this trip... The last two tanks where I got my highest mileage was using BP gas with no ethynol listed on the pump!
I did not experience more power or anything like that.... but it showed in the MPG.

why in the world would you say I am BS'ing you.... you don't even know me!
I have no reason what so ever to lie or falsify what I wrote... what I wrote was my delight of having such great MPG

Just because your experience is not the same as mine or others does not mean it is BS... it might mean you want to start an argument instead of enjoying that someone is excited about their mpg!
If you don't believe me or others that is fine.... your comment on calling me a liar will be ignored and probably all your other posts as well.
I am not calling you a liar. I just find your claim beyond the realm of possibility. Not sure what you are getting so heated about. Sorry you got your panties in a twist Sensitive Sally.

... and if your claim was even close to accurate don't you think Chrysler would be shouting it from the mountain tops

... and please tell me what you think the capacity of your fuel tank is
