I'm contemplating bringing my mountain bike to Colorado. Will it still be there after a week of off-roading?

no problem, i would take a bungy and put it through both wheels to keep them from spinning while driving and add another to tie it down to the bumper. that will keep it from swinging up at high speeds. and oh most importantly take the kickstand off your bike....If your going to ride it off road you are asking for problems.

LOL! Yeah, I realized the next day when I rode it for the first time something was off. I've turned it around since. Thanks!
I purchased the bike using airline miles. I probably didn't need one right now, but it is labeled as a Jeep bike. It would match an Orange Crush colored Jeep great.

Haha I can only imagine how awkward that was to ride... Slacks the head angle plus you loose like 2 inches of front wheelbase.... Not to mention a small rock away from going over the bars! Glad you caught it!
